Apr 05, 2018, updated Jun 05, 2025

Hosted at Nexus Arts, ‘The unity of oppression’ is an exhibition looking at what unites and divides us as a global community.

What Privilege: The unity of oppression opens 6pm on Thursday, 5 April at Nexus Arts, corner of North Terrace and Morphett Street.

Across multiple mediums, five artists – Damien Shen, Jen Lyons-Reid, Carl Kuddell, Emilijia Kasumovic, and Jelena Vujnovic – will play with the duality of light and dark, and explore “the complexities of power, privilege and oppression – inviting you to peel away hidden layers and join them on a creative crime scene investigation of our shared humanity.”

The exhibition opens at 6pm on Thursday, 5 April and will run until Friday, 18 May. For more information, visit the Nexus Arts website.
