Bastille Festival, known for its French food, wine, and art celebrations in Sydney, is coming to Adelaide from May 30 to June 1, 2025. Festival Plaza will transform into a French-inspired village for the three-day event, offering a taste of France without the jet lag. Expect over 30 food stalls serving delights like raclette and crêpes, alongside 15 boutique wines imported from regions including Bordeaux, Bourgogne, and Alsace.
Festival Founder and Director Vincent Hernandez says Adelaide, with its “passion for European living, its taste for exceptional wines and flavours, and its vibrant appreciation for the arts”, embodies the spirit of the festival. Alongside the food and wine, there will be markets featuring artisan crafts and fashion, plus over 40 free performances including live music, circus acts, cabaret, and magicians.
Entry is free, but ticketed options like the Bastille Wine Walk (sampling wines from five regions) and a Food Passport experience are available from $25. There’s also a fire pit area for enjoying mulled wine and roasting marshmallows. The full program will be available soon via the festival website.
