SA’s top 100 companies set to be revealed

Oct 22, 2015, updated May 13, 2025

South Australia’s top 100 companies are about to be revealed, beginning tomorrow in InDaily.

InDaily’s South Australian Business Index – produced in partnership with Prescott Securities, the University of South Australia and the Adelaide Convention Centre – is a ranking of the state’s top 100 businesses, based on research gathered by Prescott analysts.

The list contains a range of companies that will be familiar to readers, but it also reveals some surprises.

As a whole, the list shows the strengths of the South Australian economy and the rising companies and sectors that hold our future. However, it also lays bare some of the significant challenges facing the state.

To be eligible for the list, a company must be majority South Australian-owned or headquartered here.

From tomorrow, the list will start to be revealed in InDaily’s business pages.

InDaily will publish the first 25 companies – number 100 to 76 – on Friday, followed by another 25 on Monday, the next 25 on Tuesday, and then the full list and comprehensive analysis on Wednesday (October 28).

The release of the top 100 will coincide with a sold-out business lunch at the Adelaide Convention Centre, to be addressed by businessman and Crows chairman Rob Chapman, who will talk about his goals for the investment attraction agency he is heading up for the State Government.

Premier Jay Weatherill will also speak, followed by a panel discussion moderated by InDaily’s Tom Richardson and including Chapman, Uber Australia’s general manager David Rohrsheim, Prescott analyst Andrew Sterzl, prominent local businesswoman Angelique Boileau from Boileau Business Solutions, and Professor Jana Matthews, the director of UniSA’s Centre for Business Growth.

Stay informed, daily

InDaily will also be making a significant business announcement at the lunch.
