An 11-year-old boy has been critically injured after being hit by a train in Adelaide’s north this morning.
Emergency services were called to Tambelin Railway Station at Evanston Gardens just after 8am after a child pedestrian was hit by a train.
Police said a boy, 11, was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital with critical injuries.
The incident closed the rail line between Elizabeth and Gawler, along with Clark Road which crosses the lines at the station, but train services between Elizabeth and Adelaide continued as scheduled.
