Jade and Max met through basketball and started dating just before Jade was set to go back to college in New York, but they continued with a long-distance relationship.
The pair was engaged at Port Douglas in 2022 and chose Simon Hackett Winery in McLaren Vale as their venue to tie the knot. “I know it sounds cliché, but it really is the best day of your life and it goes by in the blink of an eye,” Jade says. “All of our closest family and friends came together to celebrate us and we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces the whole night. Something we recommend for any couple on their wedding day is to take about 10 to 15 minutes during the night to go for a walk (just the two of you). It’s such a huge day and it goes by so fast, which can be a bit overwhelming, but taking a step back, letting time slow down, and soaking it all in was such a special moment in the day.”
